1990 Ridgeback 704XT

Re: New Build: 1990 Ridgeback 704XT

Love it mate

So many levels of 'right' and so much cool about this build

Attaining the object of teenage ambition, but not just through money spent, through hard work and a bit of ingenuity all crafted together with your own hands

Going to be a first class stunner, for me this Ridgeback erotica is right up there with all the exotica!

^^

Many thanks for the very kind words, chaps.... :D

Somewhat embarrassingly late, I have none the less finished this off now (despite it being 99% ''finished'' for a few weeks now.....  )

Last bit of kit to arrive was some XT thumbies:

So that spurred me on!

Re: 1990 Ridgeback 704XT ** FINISHED 15/08/13 **

Bang tidy

Tyres perhaps a fraction too big/bling for something of that vintage but looks light and fast :D

Nice work Matty :D
That looks just like it did when l rode it home from the bike shop 23 years ago!

Really chuffed that it's going to get some use.

Thanks all!

Will do some ride pics over the weekend, I fancy a quick spin round Delamere.... ;)

Ooh! I'm getting all nostalgic now seeing it finished :D and having just been to measure up two very large '80s frames that are stored in my Mum's garage, in the boxes they came in. A custom Alves and an Overbury's Pioneer. I still can't believe how much retro bike stiff I hoarded over the years
