Hi

I have for sale a Dave Russell Handbuilt UK racing bike

Here are the dimensions I have taken of the frame, not really sure how this is done properly most of my bikes are mountain bikes which have size stamped on frame  so here are the measurements I took.

Headtube from where headset starts on frame at bottom to where headset starts on top =15.5 cm

Top tube ( Top side measured)= 53 cm

Seat Tube Middle of cranks to seat tube top = 55cm

Seat tube inside measurement = 52.5 - 53 cm
Not sure of age but I would say I Have had the bike for 25 years and bike was probably at least maybe 20 years old when I bought it

Frame has :
Campagnolo dropouts
OMAS Hubs
Mavic Rims
OMAS Headset
3TT stem
Stronglight cranks
Suntour deraileur
Unfortunatly the bike is too big for me I have holding on to it for now 25years but I have decided to let it go and hope it goes to someone who is the right size and appriciates the brilliant frame handbuilt by Dave Russell

Re: Dave Russell Handbuilt UK racing bike

Nice......... drilled dropouts, over the BB cable guides with rear brake cable on the top tube, Portecatena rear dropouts... Late 70's to early 80's classic.

Yep the frame is really beatifull and the Bottom bracket is also drilled ....
would really like this bike to return to the UK to someone who will show this bike some TLC

Also included

Original 3TT Stem
Maillard Cog
Original headset
and spare NOS tire

The Only parts on the bike that are not original are the brake levers and the mavic Rims
Frame is very light and and light components and seriously light seat

Re: Dave Russell Handbuilt UK racing bike

.....nice vintage machine but is there any reason why you have the seatpost back to front?

Re: Dave Russell Handbuilt UK racing bike

Well spotted
Ahh yes ...was waiting for someone to spot that :D
I have been trying to find the right size allen key to fit so I could swap it around but it does not use the modern day allen key size
I know I have the allen key somewhere

chances are it's an Imperial allen key or a 5.5mm equivalent, B & Q should have 'em, good luck!
