Got this late '80s custom Alves 531 fillet brazed f&f. It's big!! and in excellent condition, just a few scratches. Never ridden offroad  Been in a box in a garage for 20 + years. Takes a rear Rollercam brake.

I suspect its value is not in keeping with its rarity. Its size will limit its price too. I should imagine it is probably worth stashing this away for another 5 years by which time folk may have tired of the current staples and be better versed with the obscure UK built frames of the era. I would imagine £80-£120 and if the right person buys it they will not be quick to part with it.

anyone tell me what this is worth? pads, cables, tyres and saddle have been replaced,

EVERYTHING else is original, wheels spin like new, headset like new etc etc

measured the chain at 0.75 wear

In that condition I would have thought you could ask between £140 and £180. Perhaps more.
M-Trax isn't a hugely desirable brand but they are pretty well respected and that one looks to have some nice parts on it.

List it with some good pictures to show the condition of the components and you could start with an asking price of just over £200.

Pics don't do the colour justice, it' a brighter metallic red.

Any ideas of it's worth?

Cheers
Ian

Lovely frame, and agree with previous comments ref to price given its size.

The History Man is looking for a Large Quality British frame, give him a try.

Cool with the rear Rollercam fitment too....

Any idea what kinda price I should advertise this old bad-boy at?

Orange C-16r, 17", Aluminium seat post / different seat, Downhill handlebars / brand new grips, Brand new Adjustable stem, New tyres / Back wheel.

Not a spot of rust anywhere.

Seen an immaculate one on Ebay last week. £200!!!
