Last of the Summer Wine Aftermath

Pics from me as promised, now im in a more sober frame of mind (lol)

Didnt take as many as i wouldve liked as it was a bind having to keep getting the camera out of my camelbak, and my pockets were too baggy to keep it anywhere else!

The group at the top of the first 'gentle' two and a half mile 'warm-up' climb..

I do apologise, but all of us seem to have been overcome with temporary illiteracy...

This descent was awesome, albeit a little hairy nearer the bottom, lots of fun..

Was a fantastic day out, weather stayed good for us although we got damp as we climbed up and entered the clouds higher up, but thats to be expected.

Dont ache at all today which i expected to given the fact its almost fully flat round here and im not used to big climbs, really enjoyed it, when are we doing it again?

Hugely enjoyable but knackering day for me! Was highly flattered to get BOTR and glad you all appreciated the Ritchey the way I do.

The prize was epic and I'm torn between displaying the pink bottle cage on my desk at work (I've heard showing off your metrosexual side goes down a treat with the ladies) or Karma'ing it to Spudly to match his camera and case...

Was usually last up the climbs and downhills (damn SIDS - pretty sure the horrible clunk was a lack of negative air in t'lower chambers, as they say around these parts and they were topping out on even small rocks).

Even did a bit of business at the end of the ride, as a part of the Co-op car park went all Steptoe...

Can't wait to do it again (albeit quicker next time!)

Anyway enough of my yacking - here's the pics!

Let me at 'em!

Stunning Views all day..

Arghhh me legs!

Modern... but retro in spirit (at least for me!)

Yeah... it's definitely fubarred! Got round though!

ElPeds homage to British engineering, right down to the bottle cage bolts!

Niceeeeeeeeeeee.

Dinners over!

Wasn't keen on the drop to the side on this descent!

The NW v West Yorks v Hull lot, climbing challenge!

Happy chappies at the pub!

Yup I enjoyed that and a good reminder that Yorkshire has three national parks. It's good to see everyone again and we raised an impressive sum for the mountain rescue. The sale of Precious Things has now got me enough bits to finish two builds. Hope to see you all again soon.

Absolutely the best ride out I have had in a long time. Such a chilled atmosphere, wonderful company, great trails , breath taking scenery, the ride had everything for me.

Can't wait for my next foray up north where I am always made to feel welcome.

Thanks to the leaders and organisers etc.

Cheers fellas

Another cracking ride cheers guys was a real good day in a great place , thought I would ache a bit today after some of them hills but I'm not too bad , looking forward to the next ride

Great pics, looks like I missed a classic ride. I'll have to make sure I get out on the next visit to this area, I had a good excuse for missing this one though.
