re. endoscope...
I've a friend who uses one for work (bat surveys), and, when it came, he was surprised to note that it warned: "Not for internal use."
 
Mud. I really like it, seriously. But in 2009 we were on a 130km long marathon and constantly rained all day, so it was a little bit too much.

I,m sure everyone can relate to this one.
No matter what bike, new or old, expensive or "like one of mine" they get you.
