DS and CP sounds the baws. I have read some mixed reports all the same about the Ciaran path but I reckon its definitely one to tick off anyway.

agreed DP and CP seems the way to go.

Was an article about some of the trails on hills to the north of Kinlochleven which are meant to be nice as well.

Right I'm setting my self the challenge of rebuilding my 456 with new handbuilt wheels with 24 x 3" wide tyres for this. Been putting it off, a side effect of ME is the difficulty of starting or finishing projects. Looks as if this could be MacRetro's last big ride of the 2013 summer season and after Aviemore I swore I was not going to ride retro rigid in the highlands again....oh the pain !
Happy to camp or bunkhouse, will follow the trend.
