Clamp on indexed downtube shifters?

Looking for some ^^ for my build. Can this be done? Specifically 9 speed.

Is there some sort of clamp on adapter I could get so I can use braze on parts?

I would assume that any band that has the conventional square shifter mount could be used with an index shifter that accepts the same mount.

Alternately you could go with index bar end shifters.

Can you get 9 speed indexed DTS?

I may well be wrong, but Ergo/STi were introduced during the 8 speed era alongside indexed DTS, but when 9 speed was released DTS weren't upgraded as far as I know.

Theoretically, you could take the guts of 9 speed bar-end shifters and stick them in an 8 speed DTS, but that will be expensive and likely problematic.

They do 10 speed indexed downtube shifters as well ! also some friction Dia Comps.

note to self to have a wander around the site some time
