Rossin SL Full Late 70's Campagnolo Super Record

Doubledee

rBotM Winner
Update: Still for sale, I've decided not to split or put a time limit on selling but it does have to be sold

The pictures should speak for themselves but please pm me if you have any questions. It really is an ace bike, crosses over the timeline from when I started racing in the mid eighties, and sits in a time frame when bikes really hadn't changed much from the early 70's. It's in showroom condition very slight patina on the seat post. I'll sell with the Brian Rourke built wheels (chorus on campag omega strada) for £850 , £750 without. the tubs are ok and I'll drop in a spare for free. Other points, the rear mech is perfect except that it has a very clean tiny Alan bolt fix in place of the pin ( see picture) and I've got a spare pin and also the new box for the NOS record steel toeclips size medium. the BB is record steel but the headset is super record alloy. Pedals are super leggeri with Binda Straps

for info it's setup for me I'm 5ft 7/12 with and inside leg of 30 inches

I'll only sell this to a UK buyer and ideally I would like not to post, but it can be arranged, I'm in the Peak District near Stockport.
Cheers Darren

Beautiful bike! Is the top tube 52 cm ctc also?

Yes Im sure it is, the bike is about 10kms from me at my Mums house, I'll get her to double check and reply

I will get the exact measurements, apologies, but a quick search shows most Rossins of this era were approx 1cm longer on the top tube. For guide until I get to measure, Im 5 foot 71/2 with an inside leg of 30 inches, and the pictures show it setup for me to ride, hope that helps for now
Darren

My goodness! Try explaining to your Mum how to measure a frame over the phone! The correct measurements are 53cm CTC( from centre of BB axle to centre of seat bolt clamp, and 54cm from centre of seat tube to centre of head tube. I'll amend the post with the correct frame size sorry...and if I had re-read the post in the forum page 2 shows a picture of underneath the BB shell with a "54" stamped on it :)
Cheers Darren

That's lovely, and my size too!

This could be dangerous but I'm very tempted to come and view the bike. I live in Sheffield so I'm not far away.

Regards, Mike

Also should have said I have now sourced a front Mavic 3G Trispoke as mentioned in the original advert post
