Well, I thought I'd solved my issue of not having a bike to take away on holiday tomorrow morning by building up the Zaskar, and on a test ride today everything seemed smooth, other than the freehub on the rear Hope wheel not spinning freely. When I got it home, I took it off, lubed it and got it spinning nicely and put it back on .... and it's not spinning properly again.

Any suggestions? I'm running low on time, as I'm leaving tomorrow morning and none of the other bikes are really in a position for me to take them.

I tried a different rear mech, but that's definitely not the issue, as the freehub isn't spinning cleanly without a chain on it at all.

The cassette definitely isn't touching the frame anywhere.

Help!

It spins fine vertically, so long as it's not in the frame, so I guess that means it's likely the hub or freewheel bearings.

Anything I can do, other than trying to strip and lube it?

bearings in the freehub it'll be causing a slight twist digging the pawl area into ratchets/against the casing.

bugger :-(
