Tyres for unusual wheels

26 inch 559 is standard - I think they're even used on wheelchairs too. How about Schwalbe Durano in 28 mm (1.1 inch) 559?

Thanks for that - but more interesting news is that i got a pair of Specialized Fatboys today and they fit!!!
I have to inflate them on the bike to get them on but they are fine. My only further query is what are the best tubes for tyres this size - IMHO the ones i have are slightly too big - could i use 650c tubes or would this be another world of hurt?
