Brake cables ..... left or right ?

I prefer 'left-hand-front' routing because 'right-hand-front' means the cable has to turn back toward itself (for the majority of calipers) and just doesn't look right to me
Left for front gives the cable a nicer swoop down to the caliper IMO

true... but = continental

uk= l/rear x jousting w right +sword
also r/front = l/clutch....if you want a scrap..if not there in ten, start without me !

What ever you wish; I go front right because that is how it was when I was a kid and my brain is now programmed that way.

Most non-aero callipers are set up better with the routing for the cable when the front is left.

What did M. Fignon have his mechanic do in 1989?
Left front, right rear.
So that's what I do.
Now that's hero-worship.......

I won't argue with The Dark Lord.

Left front it is then.

Has he spied Roger De Vlaeminck and fancies a light lunch?

True grit by my hero Phil "The Engine" Bayton............showing that the Holdsworth mechanics knew a thing or two about cable routing. Slightly different pose to the Cannibal LOL

Ah but as others have said with non areo levers front left does give a better look ;)

I think for me I am going to go left rear as its more common in uk, same as my mtb and same as moter bikes .. So all in all its the safer option for me and any one else that happens to ride it

Oh alright......... Here he is in a slightly more hellish mood.
