approx 58cm rim outer to rim outer on a clincher.

approx 58.5cm rim outer to rim outer on a tub.

Minus the width of your rims to get the internal measurement as the rims I'm measuring won't be the same as yours...

I say approx as the hub is obviously in the way when measuring. Hope this is what your after...

Are you trying to work put its size, it's the bead seat diameter you need iirc, that's given in its ISO numbering. It's on you slick tyre question which is 571mm for 650c so half that and add a tyre height.

Looks like cyclocross sites maybe the place to go for the tyres.

Thanks for the pointers - it seems that the 650c will fit instead of the 26 x 1.75, providing i can get suitable tyres.

Try Dahon - am sure they do Michelins & Gatorskins for 650c.

Thanks for that - i have just checked and Decathlon have a couple of options too and they are 30 mins drive from me.

Light at the end of the tunnel? We will see......
