Evening all,

Could anyone suggest tyres for wheels which are 26 x 1.75 (559) - i would like all black and ones which appear to be slim.

Thanks all, have a great weekend,

Richard

As in old 26" for stirrup brake rims? They are normally 1-3/8" and I don't think I've ever seen them in 1-3/4".

1.75" for modern 26" mountain bike rims should be easy enough to find.

I got a set of tyres in 26 x 1.75 which were like slick MTB tyres but (my head hurts) they were too deep to fit the frame - they were 40's and i need 30's i think - any suggestions?

Richard

Thanks - could you give me the numbers from the side of the tyre if you have a minute - i would like toi know how 'deep' they are.

Thanks,

Richard

Could you give me a rough estimate of how far they sit out from the edge of the rim in mm's?

Sorry to be such a pain,

Richard

The Contis are 27mm, but a little worn, so I suspect 28 when new. By contrast the front has a Huchinson Top Slick 1.2 which is 31mm worn!
