Frontiera Frame info

Recently acquired the above touring 531 frame/forks; I'm aware they were the in-shop brand of Border Cycles, Carlisle back in the 80's/90's.. A club member suggested the frames were made by M.Steel in Gosforth..however when I contacted them yesterday with the frame number, they confirmed they hadn't made them for the shop...
Any info. on the builder from forum members?

I always thought that Dougie (Bowman, shop owner) got the frames made by Woodrup Cycles in Leeds.

I'm sure some of the vets at Border City Wheelers could help http://www.bordercitywheelers.co.uk

You could also ask Kevin Sayles or Steve Woodrup at Woodrups. They're not shy of telling who they built for.
