Bear Traps? No. How much are they worth?

Lovely bike r0gue. Looks like a BOTM winner.

That would be an unexpected surprise!

The potential for it at least. Ticks all the boxes for me.
It just stands out as a true classic Retrobike. Un-modified, free of regulation anodised 'trick' parts.
It has the "x-factor", just like the 1986 Salsa Scoboni – bloody gorgeous!

Agreed.
This and the Salsa are two of my favourite bikes on here at the moment.
Both super cool!

Do I need to do anything to enter? How does one throw his hat in the ring for such an honor? :)

I'm not sure how one goes about this really, without looking cheesy or blatant. There are official rules – just type BoTM rules into the Retro search. It seems best thing is to have a pre-existing dedicated build thread about one's bike, with as much detail as possible as supporting reference. Seems scary to put one's head up over the parapet on here. But I'm sure your Montare would be a star.

What a bike! I love the color, and about everything else too!
