Ha! You guys are crackin' me up.

Brit humor is so much better than Yank humor. (and I mean that in all seriousness!)

I don't think I've ever not voted for BoTM since I've been a member here. Don't want to break that trend but struggling to decide now.....

Just realised that BoTMer sounds like a schoolboy insult - 'piss off, you rotten BoTMer'. It wasn't meant to be.

BoTM curious? I'm sure everyone's somewhere on the spectrum Kev, dive in and give it a go, you might like it, what's the worst that could happen?

He might not be able to ride anything other than a trials bike for a few days?

Re: BoTM July '13 - Muddy Fox vs Orange vs Saracen - Vote No

I like Mr. Panda's dog. And mr. kawasaki did a good job on his bike. And Boscarn has toe clips! yay! And lavadome doesn't even have pedals at all. :(

And I kinda like the green flouro bike too. mmmmhmmmm.....

Re: BoTM July '13 - Muddy Fox vs Orange vs Saracen - Vote No

The 'ambivalent' attitude towards the 'mediocre' content of this months 'contest' from across the pond is a trifle amusing especially when, at first glance, I thought G.E.M was lauding GM's double-U in the photo' below...

Re: BoTM July '13 - Muddy Fox vs Orange vs Saracen - Vote No

I think you have to remember that this is one of the most anglo-centric BOTMs in a while, three MOR brands that the US guys have no knowledge of.

The brands themselves have sentimental meaning to many UK people in that they were their first bikes or first proper mountain bike or first bike that got them into biking etc but they are not in themselves sufficiently exciting, innovative or international brands to grab non-uk attention at a single glance - you can't impart your sentimentality onto others.

and I am not sure anyone could easily confuse a Saracen for a Fat Chance, is it 'cos they is black?

I've surprised myself but I think I'll vote for Mr Panda's 95 P7. I know there's more exotic fare and more lovingly put together bikes and I generally find the earlier ones more interesting BUT I think an Orange P7 just about epitomizes retrobike for me and I love the 'in use somewhere beautiful' photo and the dog and there's a reason for the light...

And for about 20 years I thought Orange were American (after Orange County) and I still thought they were the coolest so, to the US contingent, I think they can hold their own against your Fats and Goats etc.
