I got me a new bike!

tonight I am venturing to the dark side with a brand new bike. Something to help me with the Prudential RideLondon on 4 August. I am so excited my hands are almost shaking! We arent talking exotic or boutique, but for me a new bike is as about as excited as I get!

Any guesses?

It is road, yes, sorry! Incidentally, any recommendations for puncture resistant tyres welcomed. I am told that OEM ones aren't the best at withstanding flats...

Conti Gatorskins are popular amongst commuters. The GP 4 seasons is even better and Wiggle have them at a good price for a pair with free inner tubes:

Yeah, I have heard the Gator Skins being mentioned, I will bear these GP4 seasons in mind too!

It is indeed a brand spanking never been ridden new bike. I will be the first owner.

700C Halo Twin Rails are nice, and come in lots of pretty colours; I have the green ones on my Team Banana Falcon!

I wish, cant afford such boutique! Plumped for a 2014 Giant Defy 1, apparently they are available now. Looking forward to taking her for the first outing tomorrow after work to feel the difference between that and a slicked up mtb!
