Does anyone have recent experience of posting a pair of wheels by Royal Mail? What does it cost, how long to deliver?

I used interparcel.com recently to send a pair of wheels. You can log on and get an immediate quote if you have weights, dimensions etc and they will search out the best deal and give you a range of prices according to carrier.

The biggest problem I had was finding a box,in the end I got a free bike box from my LBS and cut it down to size.

use senditnow, you can drop off at a parcel force depot and the recipient can pick up from one.

a pair of wheels would cost about £5 parcel force 24 hour.

No exorbitant new post office charges.
No rip off parcel force over the counter 'volumetric weight' calculation.
No hanging around for some courier to pick up (maybe)
Recipient can collect and sneak it in past the missus at his convenience

Assuming he can get their website to work!
I've tried on two computers, iPad and a phone and I've never managed to get anywhere! Why they have such strict hardware & software requirements to use their site I have no idea!
Do you know the secret to get it to work?!
