As for an assault on Mt Keen I'm free (I think) the first 2 weekends in August. That said, my Glen Doll loop is probably more interesting from a riding point of view, it just doesn't quite break the mythical 3000ft, although if we're feeling fit we could throw in an up and back on Broad Cairn which we pass anyway. Also seen a 5 Munro route starting at Loch Muick (Ballater).

like the sounds of any of that, let me know (pls avoid the 3rd of aug)

Nowt to do with RetroBikes but managed to get aircon working on car in preparation for trip to Chamonix. :D
It is now
As far as I could tell there didn't appear to be anything wrong with it mechanically/electrically/leaks (confirmed by refrigeration guy) so hoped it just needed the gas recharged. Didn't fancy giving the monkeys at Thikasshit £49.99 to do it. From various references to them on 'tnet they seem to be able to eff up a job that is done entirely with a machine. All they do is connect the hoses, the machine does the rest.
Googled aircon/refrigeration specialists and found a guy up in Kinross who did it in an hour or so. It's now almost

And the bite on my hand seems OK, it might keep me off bike for a couple of days when we get there, maybe limit me climbing but it'll be OK.

40 miles around Midlothian on my pig iron special 10 speed road bike last night. Think I'm now ready for 4 Abbeys practice run on Sunday !

Raleigh Frame is currently in Paisley where Mark kindly removed the stuck BB cup. I however never seem to have time to go to Paisley to collect it. Hopefully collect it before national in August but Dawes will do in meantime, its even more retro than the Raleigh.

Ah I remember that day well, I had long hair then
The exploding rim on the Explosif, me demonstrating various methods of falling off and as for that top cap well ................. theres probably a giant Oak grown on the spot where it fell.
