What's the arrangement for the BBQ. Is someone bringing a big grill or something?

I don't want to bring food only to have it thrown in the bin hehe

Just got my gear ready and got updated as to the camp site location in Crompton...

Who's camping tomorrow night?

MrLee is bringing the BBQ, I've a large bag of charcoal (enough to cook all nite) so no worries for cooking.

Don't forget to bring your bike jumble (NEXT WEEKEND Trebz) ;)

Gonna try and get there for the sunday ride due to commitments on the fri and sat. I know I'm letting myself in for suffering.

thanks andy

Will be good to see you Andy hope you can make it, the route is not too hard with
most of the climbing being done before lunch.

A large part of this ride is on an old railway so has no real gradient, but some sweet sections of singletrack ;)

Shame I can't make this one, but I am away Thursday - Sunday, looks like your going to have a good one.

Is anybody that's going driving along the 170 from Helmsley to Kirkbymoorside on the Sunday morning with space for a body and a bike that could pick me up from Nawton (1/2 way between the 2) . I can get the wife to drop me at the start point but was trying to be nice and make her life easier .

I was up there today, along the 170 from helmsley to kirkbymoorside, very nice up there indeed!

We've gone from crazy floods to dusty dry, bring it on, can't wait!!

Here is a fuel station that doubles as a mini market, wholesale sort of prices. just a couple of miles back toward pickering.

Also, kirbymoorside is good for cash machines and other bits and bobs. YO62 6DG. Will get you on the main st there.

Re: Retrobike National Series Rd 4: North York Moors ~ 21/07

Really not sure what bike to bring with me.

In a change to the usual disarray, all of these are pretty much ready to ride. So the nominees are:

1991 GT Karakoram Elite - DX M650
1992 Saracen Traverse - XT M732/5
1992 Saracen Kili Racer - LX M550
1993 Univega Alpina - DX M650/1
1995 Marin Pine Mountain - XT M737
1996 Specialized Stumpjumper - LX M565
1997 GT Bravado - XT M737/9
1998 Saracen HardTrax - STX RC

Slim chance I could have one of these three ready as well:

1989 Saracen Tufftrax - Mountain LX
1991 Saracen Trekker Hydrotech - LX M550/Magura HS
1992 Dyna Tech Diablo - LX M550/Dia Compe

Anyone care to help me decide or especially wants me to bring anything...?

Re: Retrobike National Series Rd 4: North York Moors ~ 21/07

Mmm.

1995 Marin pine mountain or '92 dyna tech diablo...

I can't think up any real reason either, just stick out at me somehow. :)
