Cannondale experts please help - Killer V 2000 or M2000?

jawa

Dirt Disciple
I have a dark blue fade cannondale frame with a pair of pepperoni forks.

It is a V shape frame like a killer V but the decal on it says M2000.

What is the difference? Why is it a V shape frame but called a M2000 and not V 2000?

I think it is about 1993/1994 frame.

Any advise welcome!

If its a small frame (14" or so) then they had a killer v esque configuration (for better standover height) but were not killer V's

ah, well it is a very small frame so that must be it then, an M2000 with a v frame shape for stand over, thanks!

So, what is a killer V then? does that just mean that style frame with suspension fork?

Depending on year Killer V came with rigid forks and Delta V was the same frame style with a headshok. Compared to your frame the Killer V was lighter and stiffer.
Catalogs here http://www.vintagecannondale.com/catalog.html

Your model is in the 93, but the 94 catalog has a better explanation of the differences and show the 14" M frame.

great! thanks, I have read in the two catalogues now and I finally understand what I have!
Thanks for the help
