apart from the obvious "take a tube/etc" answers.
i was only riding to a horse show about 7 miles away....psssssss!!!!
remembered a write up in a mag about emergency repairs......so i filled my rear tyre with grass......got me home!!!!
it was a bit hot to not be riding. i had nothing to loose.....and it worked!
what have you done to get home? :D

They'll still catch you; those little Spaniels are b*stards!

Re: today, i filled my rear tyre with grass.....what do you

I once took the front tyre and tube off and rode back over the fields on just the rim, got me home!
Now I always carry a spare tube (or two), plus a puncture repair kit.

Re: today, i filled my rear tyre with grass.....what do you

BITD I used a Marathon wrapper to get me home and that was half way around a Levisham . Goathland loop. Hehe.

Re: today, i filled my rear tyre with grass.....what do you

Crisp packets scavenged from the undergrowth to cover a cut in the side wall of a tyre.

Zip ties to hold tyre onto a very split rim.

Re: today, i filled my rear tyre with grass.....what do you

In the unlikely even my slime tubes gov up the ghost I fit a spare, or phone Woman to pick me up in the Landie.

Re: today, i filled my rear tyre with grass.....what do you

Split the sidewall on the road bike's rear tyre on Friday - called out the 'team car' for a replacement bike...

I've got to ask, it's been itching at me for a day or so - how did you use the Marathon wrapper (and props for accuracy, it would have been Marathon BITD, and not "Snickers" (spit))?
