Can the bearings in a hope BB get replaced

I have managed to kill both a Tune Ti and a Hope Ti BB in the last few weeks it has coincided with an increase in fitness nd an increase in mileage but sadly killed the bearings in two lovely BB's has anyone here had any joy in changing theirs ?

yes i believe they can, you'll need the bearing numbers which are on the black plastic bearing shield then it's just a case of beating it all apart!

It's a pretty straight forward job with the right size socket, a rubber hammer and a vice CC.

Tune are a bit of a nightmare apparently. According to Poshbikes ( :roll: ) the bearings are fitted with special "stuff" so need returning to them.

Hope should be helpful and might even do it for you for the price of postage!

Don't quote me on that though...

You can apparently replace the bearings in pretty much any external bottom bracket with 6805 bearings which are widely available. My RaceFace X-type BB has just started to get a bit of play so I bought a couple of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-X-6805-2rs- ... 0622033625. For £3.00, I haven't lost much if I make a mess of it and have to buy another BB anyway.
