I've heard a few negative comments about the 1990-3 Scott Superlight, can somebody confirm the weight for me, please?

Scott Superlite - is it?

I can give you no exact numbers but i'd say it is ok. Nothing to be concerned about. The comments about the weight were obviously made because of the name of this bike. It simply isn't super lite. If i have to guess i'd say the Superlite in my signature is about 11,5kg or 12kg. Maybe you also like to ask forum member skolioza. He is the man with the most Scott in depth knowledge here.

About Super Lite- well I don't give You exact weight too, but as I remember it's having normal weight for that times (so I gues it'll be 2 - 2,3kgs for a frame in size 18" Heavier elevated Super Evo in 18' weights 2,57kg)
In 91 just every alloy model had "super" in his name (Super Evolution, Super Lite, super America), so Super Lite is just a name, not mean that it's super light
