Best quill to ahead adaptor

They all look the same - BBB, Profile, etc - but are they? I'm having some trouble with the last one I bought (which was neither of those brands.)

(I'm looking for something to fit a 1 1/8 headset, but I suppose I could use a shim.)

What are you experiencing in the way of 'trouble' then?

Tightened it the usual amount; went out of alignment while riding. Tightened up a bit more, did it again. Tightened a bit more than that - broke!

BUT it's possible that I undertightened it the first time and the subsequent problems were a result of crash damage. All the same I'd like to know if anyone has found any brand better than another?

the BBB one is very good. check your fork internally however, if it has any sleeve or similar, it can foul the BBB adaptor, which is very long. ideally, the BBB likes a fork that allows it to be droppd almost all the way down into the steerer tube.
