that is quite an epic effort. thanks for that - are you planning on doing more?

the 98 XT Rapid fire shifters (M740) are fairly easy to do in the same manner - and they often have the slipping issue where the ratchet has worn down.... not sure how easy it is to replace those parts though.....

it doesn't take much effort really - whenever i rebuild something i use my camera to document where the pieces go for reassembly anyway, and with a simple page template it takes maybe an extra hour to annotate the pix and put them up on my website. the democratization of info is one of the great powers of the internet!

i rebuilt some old thumb shifters recently, i'll put those up when i get an extra hour....
