i like the look of these bikes with a road setup :)

are your jockey wheels in need of replacing or are they desinged like that?

Thanks a lot!

They were aluminum ones with their last "flesh on their bones". I´ve replaced them with Tacx Delrin (plastics) ones with cartridge bearings a few days ago.

My latest acquisition (came this afternoon), it needs some minor cosmetique touch up but the decals are all undamaged.

Rockhopper Ultra

Here is my Rockhopper Ultra, found languishing outside in a garden. I'm impressed with the way it has withstood the elements.
Refurbed and back on the road in 2 days, albeit with replacement Campag hub wheels/road tyres & new pedals. It rides superbly.

Bought it to use as a ssp/maybe 7spd for commuter BUT it was just too nice and fits me very well, so i'm building it up. Want it done for the spring, I plan to hit the riding hard in 2013. I spent way too much time building this past year.

Plans(atm):
Strongarms w/ 24-36
M737 shortcage rear mech
M737 fm
M732 Thumbies
8spd cassette
STX canti's w/ PC7 levers
Hope Ti/Mavic 231(bought 'em for my Ti, but they're going on this)
Flite Ti-to be recovered
Tires-? Want some grey's but dunno yet...

After this pic, I threw in a Ritchey Logic headset & UN55 BB(cheap and tough).

Here is my 1997 Specialized Rockhopper A1.
Currently getting it back to the original spec. I had upgraded a lot of the components but am gradually getting it back to how it was when I got it. This bike was a gift from my Dad for passing my GCSE's in 1997. He said he would give me £100 towards a bike for every a-c grade I got. I ended up with 6 and this is what I bought. I have never seen another this colour.

Loving those last three. The A1 is a nice blue colour, I think it was 97 or 98 they also did a nice lime green rockhopper A1 FS.

Here's my 98(?) Rock hopper, nitanium tubed set up for the wife. Needs a different saddle though

Too small for me as it's the wife's but I like taking it for little trips. Rides really nice.
