Kona Cinder Cone or Not??

I am supposed to be picking this up tomorrow but someone has mentioned that the rear seat stays dont look right for a steely Kona, and questioned whether it was a re-badged something else.

So before I part with my cash, I will bow down to your wisdom.....is it a Kona if so what year??

It's not just the seat stays; the chainstays are like nothing I've ever seen on a retro Kona

The seatstays are wrong and the chainstay bridge is wrong too. Resprayed Diamond Back maybe? Looks like a decent bike though, whatever it is.

It may be a decent bike but out of principal I won't be buying it as dont know what else could be hidden?

I don't blame you mate. There are plenty more konas in the crater (see what I did there) so keep your eyes out and I'm sure you'll pick up a nice one.

I liked this, but it didn't sell so might be worth contacting the seller.

Me and Ben were discussing this post ride last week, its definately not a kona as it has wavey stays, and the decals are in the wrong places!

I cant think what we actually decided on it being in the end, but its not a kona!
