Haliburt,

I take your point, but remember when the poll goes up the nominations thread gets locked. This is why everyone carries on whatever they were involved in in the poll thread.

Leaving the nominations thread unlocked might solve this?
Why do you hate freedom?

It could be argued a poll that is simply a poll may encourage more freedom of the collective mind. :)

How about having the commentary migrate back to each individual build thread?

As the guidelines now suggest a build thread is obligatory, that sounds quite reasonable if someone wishes to go into it about a particular bike.

Equally you could say the nominations thread is the place to compare entries and have a collective discussion on them.

Form and discipline bring true freedom.

1984 was a warning, not an instruction manual

Keeping nomination thread open isn't much different from having people comment on the poll.

People like to banter. I get that.

In which case just keep things as they are.

People will always find an outlet for free speech.

For what its worth I needed headshots of myself for business and got a groupon for $10 to go to a studio so I said heck ill bring the bike.

Where's my popcorn!?

1984 was the year Van Halen ruled the world.

I think we could all use a little Dave Lee Roth today.

That Ibis is stunning and the paint is so rare. The photo booth cracked me up! Well done! It's exactly the kind of bike that gets me so excited about vintage bikes.

The ARC, unfortunately, is way over the top for my personal taste plus it looks like a copy of a photoshoot I've seen before.

The Fats and Goat are pretty great too. Overall, another great bunch of bikes. Well done, everybody!

Recruiting for the Good Ship Lollipop?

What an incredible line up! There're at least four bikes there they I'd never have believed I'd vote against, but what choice when they're all so stunning?

Absolutely top class through and through
