alu stem stuck in alu frame?

Has anyone encountered this before? Got a Dale with the original coda stem seized in to the frame. I've been through the hassle of steel and alu posts but never alu on alu. Any suggestions (other than not to use caustic soda) before I cut it out? Already tried the vice and it won't budge.

(I assume this is a quill stem), Did you try a mallet the stem bolt after dripping a lubricant down the head tube?

Sorry I should have said it's a seat post, not a quill stem. Will try coke (the liquid mind you) and see how it goes before cutting it out. Has anyone else had this problem or am I just really unlucky?'
