Back on track, had a recce ride today with Dave as below. Road surfaces are of 'variable smoothness' so best to leave the 20c silk tubs to mature in the cellar a little longer. There's also a bit of climbing so perhaps 42x25 or similar as a low gear would be sensible.

The Lil Boss is suggesting a Mexican theme and I'm reasonably sure she's referring to food although I've been wrong with embarrassing results in the past - any dissension or alternative suggestions?

I would not be surprised, all I have heard is abouthis bad back and lack of miles. But has snuck in several secretive rides around the route with ed

I'd advise against wearing chaps. Unless you are riding a horse, wearing a Stetson and carrying a pistol.

Will indeed be riding compact and after Saturdays struggle may even be driving support vehicle :facepalm:
