GT Pantera - small. Updated - new Brakes and Forks .

Re: GT Pantera - small

Damn, that frame is so small that without some sort of context it almost looks like a 29er!

Re: GT Pantera - small

Well a little update:

I couldn't find a Marzocchi Canti hanger so that ruled them out and so we started to look at other forks. My son doesn't like the look of contemporary Rockshox and I didn't want to fiddle with elastomers so the search wasn't easy.

In the mean time he decided he liked the idea of some Maguras - I have them, a couple of his friends have them on their trials bikes...

So In the end we found the ideal combination thanks to a kind member on here- a set of Magura / Rond Quake forks with firmtech front fittings and a full set of matching HS33 brakes. A set of evo mounts has just sorted out the rear.

He is delighted. He also decided that he had to have an ordinary bike for the school run to stop the little bu**ers fiddling and breaking it. A cheap Scott YZ4 arrived via Gumtree and is now in commuting use.
