Zaskar Identification Algorithm

I would say a very early zaskar.

I've put a post on mtbr forum regarding serial numbers as there is no for sure answers.

This thread make my head hurt, im getting a zaskar i believe it to be a 2000 le that would make it a taiwan built one but another thread linked on here says flat end cap us made. Piccy to make it clearer. Help me what have I got.

Yep those are still 6061, and still US made. Not exactly sure when they switched to taiwan. Normally easton tubing for program and varilite and elite(i think) is 7005, but these later zaskars were easton tubing, but 6061, don't know why that is, maybe because having easton tubing was all cool at the time, as it was bike specific tubesets, so you had to have the sticker on there...but also it had to be 6061, cause that was a zaskar.

The one with the ping pongs, is that the all blue one? MBA did a review of that one, just can never rememebr if its that one or the blue/yellow one.

Very helpful....
But how does my frame fit into this formula?
  • 1) Ball Burnished
    2) Flat end cap
    3) U Brake
    4) No serial number or 6061 or size stamp....ANYWHERE?

That's easy:

Rule 1: No result

Rule 2: No result

Rule 3: ball burnished + u-brake => Zaskar
