Is anyone able to advise me how to get these on without tearing them please?

Do you need to separate the moving lever itself from the section which connects to the handlebars to do Get them on? I have gran sport levers and its not immediately apparent how I would do this?

Thanks

Bit of fairy liquid and water, and run the hoods under the warm water first to soften them up ...

Quick question, are they (the brake levers) on the bike with tape wrapped around them or are they in your hand ?

Another quick question, are they new / NOS or are they worn and second hand. ?

Cheers

Shaun

Brake levers are not yet fitted onto bike and the hoods claim to be nos but I strongly suspect they are imitations...

Ok, that's easier :) Remove the "bands" from the body of the lever and "reverse" the lever into the gum hood back end first. Then put the metal bands back on.

Don't try and stick the lever into the hole and do it from the front.

If they are warm and stretchy you should be able to do them with a dab of talcum powder......

Good grief...............what was he doing with that screwdriver ??

I'd have been sacked for doing that to a gum hood !!
