Re: Santa Cruz Chameleon

Well I've been meaning to update this for a while as the old Chameleon has gone through a few changes since this was posted way back in '08. I've been running it as a singlespeed for the last couple of years and I think other than the frame, headset, saddle and crank everything else has been changed. A few parts went onto the Kilaeua when it was built, the rims finally gave up and the 9 speed XT parts were sold on. Any way, heres a picture from this morning and an updated spec list. Still puts a smile on my face! :D

Great frame. I've had two. One set up as a light weight single speeder, in yellow. The other was more of a DJ/DH/Freeride rig with a 6 inch fork, disc brakes and 1x9 gears. Wish I kept pics of 'em. Actually, I really wish I still had them.

Yeah they're fab frames. Never fails to put a smile on my face whenever I go for a ride. Wouldn't mind another one set up as a play bike to re-live my youth!
