frosting removal

I was just wondering if anyone can help me with the best way of removing the anodizing from my zaskar as it has had a hard life and is looking tired now. and us ut possible to get it re-anodised

The anodising is basically a skin of aluminium oxide on the surface of the metal. Sodium hydroxide, aka caustic soda, dissolves it. Be careful though, it's nasty stuff and if you're making it from crystals add crystals to water not the other way round - it's very exothermic

do not try that at home. You will melt the entire frame if not careful. You can polish it off, and yes, you can get it redone

afraid not, but there have been threads on it on here before. Usually for parts, but I'm sure a frame is possible

Vapour/bead blasting will do it-and cheaply too.I just love the current Zaskar vibe of late,such kick ass bikes.
