Oil on sanctions.

Can you say how much oil is appearing? Have you tried wiping clean then riding a while and checking? So they are cheap forks, but I am sure seals must be available cheaply too so possibly would be worth servicing them.

They are brand new when I bought them highlandflyer done about 80miles since.
Do wipe the oil yes.

My Revs do it for a bit after a service where I have soaked the sponges that sit under the seals. Lasts anything up to a couple of hundred miles.

If XCMs have been dry on the sanctions for any length of time they're probably well overdue for a service. They have no oil bath and rely completely on the moving contact surfaces being lubed.

A good XCM is a very bad fork indeed.
