1995 Marin IFT breaking for parts. Deore XT goodenss

For sale is my 1995 Marin Indian Fire Trail

I bought this from the original owner who paid £1200 for it brand new and had it until earlier this year.
The bike is in used condition as you would expect for an 18 year old bike.
The bike has had some welding on the head tube as he had some suspension forks on the bike a few years ago and the head set came loose which not being a bikey person he just kept riding.
He assured me the frame was heat treated after it was welded and i have ridden it for a short while with no issues.
The frame has the usual marks for a bike silver anno frame from this era.
I hope to get the original owners manual once he finds it.

The bike is

18" frame C to C and 22" top tube.
full Shimano Deore XT 24sp groupset
Shimano Deore XT rapid fire shifters and brake levers
White industries cranks
brand new rear cassette
brand new chain
stock cantilever brakes with blue anno
Mavic 230 SBP rims in good shape
white industries hub on the front and unknown rear hub
Rob Warner pedals
Marin lite bars
Marin stem
Maxis worm drive tyres in useable condition
has had new cables and service by me
Brand new bottom bracket

Fantastic starter bike and much better than anything you can buy brand new for the money.
fairly priced for the condition and spec.
pics to follow in the next post as soon as they have finished uploading to photobucket.
£199.

Re: 1995 Marin Indian Fire Trail 18"

Was gonna ask about the head tube

No need now

Nice garden

Re: 1995 Marin Indian Fire Trail 18"

Lol it is a shared yard with 9 houses so we all keep it looking nice. Is it the head tube that puts people off? am i better off parting the bike out?

just seems a shame to break up a one owner from new bike with 90% of its original equipment.

With due respect mate i think it's best to split it and maybe give the frame away or hang it on the wall.. It's a shame really as the cnc work in the rear triangle is something to behold.

Re: 1995 Marin Indian Fire Trail 18"

Hi,
