Help to name the frame*NAMED*

Re: Help to name the frame

They replied to my email within minutes and confirmed it's a King of Mercia :D

Nice :D I have a soft spot for Mercian's, they always seemed to make elegant frames, particularly the rear triangle which seemed to use the narrowest tubing they could.

They are always really helpful. A good example to a few other builders I won't mention.

Theoldfm and Midlife send me your address and I'll send you a little something

Being fountain-like oracles of bike knowledge is thirsty work ;)

cheers!

An update.

Seems it's not a King of Mercia.

Grant from Mercian says it's the Audax model due to the plain top caps on the seat stays.

I managed to get the BB out by immersing it in caustic soda, I figured it needs a respray anyway. The threads are all good :)

Sadly it's a bit too short for me- back to the drawing board...

This is true, Shaun.

I might have a vertebrae removed so I can keep it. I did try it out with a longish stem and it felt ok.
Should really be 1/2 inch longer
What to do...would it be ok for pootling about on?
