Well he was easy to spot in that lid.
Usain Bolt's got nothing on him if that clock's right.

Just got home and realised that I haven't slept since 5.30am on Saturday morning, so I'm off for a bath in a minute then I'm going to bed... for a month.

The course was difficult, lots of climbing, much of which could not be ridden, so had to be walked / pushed. On Friday when it was dry it was apparently suberb, by the time I rode it at 3.00am on Sunday morning it was like a large bowl of mud the consistency of porridge.

More from others and I have no results or laps yet, but the West Midlands crew, soloists and ten man team were absolute stars, especially as the lap times came down this morning and I had to ask riders who thought they were done if they wouldn't mind doing just one (or two) more lap(s).

Too tired to write anything else coherent, although the vicar was delightfully amusing with the herring joke he told to three monkeys, a nun and a large umbrella called Egbert! Anyone for tennis?

Just got back now (after sneaking off just before the end to avoid the traffic  ).
Cracking weekend.
Loads of pics and thoughts to follow, but here's a few to keep you going :D

Before
