Good idea or asking for trouble ?

Note that the frame doesn't have an ally insert i.e. it will be Ti on Ti :?

Cheers for any input :D

uber-bling. Should be ok I think. I'd use some copper grease anyhow, but as above, the two metals are similar (may not be the exact same Ti-alloy however).

Ally suffers from galling more.
Ti is prone to a chemical reaction with dissimilar metals which can result in the two parts literally "weld" themselves together, not good when you're talking about an expensive Ti frame & components.
Plenty of suitable lube/anti-seize and perhaps more regular maintainance and all should be well.

I've not had a Ti frame before, but have had Ti components/bolts etc and after using "Ti-Prep" or Copper grease have never had any issues.

I would only be worried if it is a tight fit; otherwise dollops of copper paste and yearly service.

My Ibis ti quill stem was supplied with a steel bolt and the blurb in the packet said to not switch to a ti bolt due to it galling. Oh, and I'd use Chemodex Nickel 'Never Sieze' over copper grease. It has better properties and is the same dull metallic colour as ti too...winner :)
