Are you a gamer :?:

No, I have a social life

I don't play games, I also don't have a social life  Funny I moved to North York's and have never met anyone I would want to socialise with, I have my best friend always by my side though, my hubby :D

I'm a gamer, so is my wife, I can only assume our daughter will be too once she's old enough to use a mouse & keyboard (or a pad if she prefers...).

my tastes tend toward fps games (COD series recently, doom, quake, unreal tournament BITD) and strategy (battlestar back in my spectrum days, command & conquer series more recently) where my wife prefers the likes of the Sims on pc and animal crossing on Nintendo.

I did get fairly addicted to GTA4 and Gran Turismo 5
on the PS3 for awhile but that machine is mostly used as a bluray player these days.

Always been a gamer since the early consoles like Atari 2600 and NES and probably owned every one since up to the PS3 but £40 for a console game is money better spent else now so online PC F2P games are where its at for me. However, I did spend £30 on Diablo 3 when it was released and it stole my life for about 6 months which isn't a bad return ! lol. I'm playing Warframe too at the mo and its great. :) Fast paced, not too much thinking required and quite challenging unlike most of the other recent run and gun games I've tried. Don't play solo as not really got the interest in doing that anymore but my "other" social life is PC based MMO's with my friends of 20 years+ when we all used to get our computers together with coax network cable (remember that?) and play the original Quake. It's a good way to stay in touch and we still get together (when we are allowed out) for a LAN session every so often despite living all over the country these days.

I do remember the coax network wiring! (and the swearing induced because "someone has lost the terminator plug! - oh, hang on, It's here in my pocket...")

we had dodgy wiring at my parent's house which lead to getting a not inconsiderable shock if you happened to touch the pc case while plugging the things in...

was great for games of doom though (also played against a friend over a 9600 baud modem - yes, that's 9,600 bits per second to you young'ins)
