Thought I'd share a little visit I went to in Lincolnshire! :D

Visited Petwood Hotel for two days and was a 49 Squadron Re-Union where a group of RAF Bomber Command old timers
veterans got back together and share their stories during World War II in the surroundings of Petwood
in Woodhall Spa in Lincolnshire, A grand place to visit. Home of the Dambusters by the way.

Pictures to follow

The visit to RAF Waddington which has a little museum housed within the base and in the museum is the parts of a crashed Avro Lancaster and other good stuff

Looking around the actual crashed Lancaster knowing all the crew perished was very emotional to say the least.

Re: Petwood Hotel, Home of the Dambusters & RAF Waddington v

I remember Vulcans flying over when I was a kid, beautiful things.

I hope you visited the sweet shop opposite the larger of the memorials while you were in Woodhall!

It's owned by a rather gorgeous redhead ;)

(but then I would say that, she's my wife!)

Advanced warning to anyone else though: she doesn't mind people parking their bikes outside so long as they're her customers (tell her Paul said it was ok)... gets a bit narky when they're only going to the cafe next door ;)

So thats the one who tried it on  Woodhall Spa is a nice quite place to visit.

Whilst looking at the 617 SQD memorial someone had stuck small yellow stickers on it which had
foreign writing on them I removed the lot off the memorial, the writing was some kind on Islamic stuff!

If you have a pic of one of those stickers I can tell you what it means.

I screwed them all up and binned them mate but one visitor said the stickers read 'All soldiers should die & go to Hell'
