Installation, I use the exactly press you linked to and it works fine (though I added a couple of fibre washers that sit inside the cupt to keep it centrally alligned) I agree if you were going to use it more frequently it might be worth a better tool, but I've put in 5 in the last years easily enough.
Removal, I'd say go for the proper tool. Tapping the cups out takes time and care, but with the proper tool it's literally a ten second job. I paid around £15 for mine when it was on sale at CRC and it's saved me enough time to pay for itself - I know people who have made their own out of old seat tubes, but they've never been as good, either getting damaged or taking slightly longer to get in place.

I had one of those Ebay threaded bar presses. It didn't work very well, because it sort of flops about and it's difficult to get started. I gave up and went back to using a block of wood and a hammer, tapping around so that the cup goes in straight.

I've done the threaded bar option with successful results in the past. Since I got the proper tools though it's made the job alot easier and satisfying, especially if it's someone else's bike.

Few taps with a hammer and you're all good. I hold a rag over the cup to stop it smashing into the ground.
