Scotland's New Currency The Haggis

It all depends on where you are I guess. We have always taken lobster, oysters, scallops and the like for granted, but we are also selling it to restaurants across Europe at great profit. Venison, whilst getting popular as a posh food again, has always been on the table of the working folks in rural Scotland, as have been grouse, pheasant, hare and the like.

Wealth is so much less important than quality of life. Barter circumvents what is a largely unfair monetary system.

An area of Southeast Asia I have spent a lot of time in is supposedly impoverished, but people there seem happier and better fed than the average Brit.

I say on with introducing new ways of trade, and new ways of defining wealth.
