Re: 1994 Fat Chance Buck Shaver #61B4M (nearly finished)

Thanks for all the comments so far! Nearly finished now, need to fit the brakes, cables and a couple of tweaks. Namely some new seatpost decals!

This is where it's up to now...

mmmmh a very nice Buck Shaver. Especially this blue metallic paint has become really good. Along with the silver parts invites you to ride the bike properly. The original sticker harmonize very well with the blue paint. In general, the Buck Shaver framework are due to your geometry, very great framework. Due to the shorter top tube a bit more comfortable to drive than the Yo Eddy. Am looking forward to your first ride.

regards Helmut

Haha thanks - I thought the same thing and you can't quite make it out in the photos but I put a load of kitchen towel between the clamp and the frame before I could clamp it to the seatpost! So paint is still nice and unblemished ;-)

Should get a few final pics up this weekend, will swap out the stem for a Zooka as well to get opinions on both.

Re: 1994 Fat Chance Buck Shaver #61B4M (nearly finished)

I reckon this is all but finished now! Certainly rideable, I've test ridden it and will take it out in anger tomorrow. The rear brake cabling isn't ideal so will work on that, and I also have a different stem to try. Seatpost decals need sorting, but other than that it's good to go!

Thanks to all the fellow RB'ers who have been able to help source all the great components. Ill do a spec sheet and put that up in a bit.

Also, forgot to mention that I will upgrade the hubs and rims but for now I can still go and get it muddy.
