I'm no expert at all - but being local I've asked the seller about the frame number. he came back with 'It's 7005'. Obviously not the frame number, but the tubing material stamp.

So whatever it is it isn't a Zaskar - as the end cap would also back up.
 
Thanks for that. Thought it was a bit odd even with my limited experience gained from here.
 
sticking me neck out i would say 1998 gt backwoods, although the GT not hadley hub may suggest something a little higher up. nice enough bike if its your size and would polish up lovely
 
97 on alloy frame. Half decent components so as above Backwoods or above (they're all same Taiwan frame).
