Fillet brazed frames

Thanks for all the great info and pictures. I'm not really in the market for a new frame yet, but I'll keep my eyes open!

Since I've just picked it up:

on a serious note, are there any Modern Fillet Brazed MTB's?

Umm, yes.

There are dozens of frame builders in the UK who produce amazing frames, so many, that I cannot list them all from memory, so lets start with a couple who have been at it a while: Chas Roberts, Dave Yates, Lee Cooper, Kevin Winter, Jason Rourke, Argos. Then the newer names like Feather and Demon Frameworks, Ted James, Paulus Quiros, Shand......

Take a look at the exhibitors list from Bespoked, a good few of the builders make mtb's, and there are more builders out there who were not at the show.

Use car filler before painting your next frame, that would keep them guessing! ;)

I'm sure I read somewhere that at least one frame maker used to fake fillet-braze frames which had already been TIG-welded.

Jamis used to 'faux' fillet on some of their 80's frames. Here's a couple of mine....
