im sure its just cheap taiwanese job :) it has snake stays and also crud catcher mounts , there is sticker running down the seat tube saying " 7005 aluminium t4 t6 " but thats about it , i also wondered what mech hanger it used as its missing .

Ha Ha ! thats a fitting end to it , a mate of mine managed to cram an old Jag v12 into a capri and being a plumber by trade piped all the bulkhead heater pipework in soldered copper pipe

Crud bosses and heat tube gusset show a nice bit of detail.

For a mech hanger you could try BETD or Wheels manufacturing - though it's probably a generic std type from Taiwan.

Thanks for the reply , i did wonder if it could be a very low end Saracen ,Giant or Barracuda maybe ?

Cheers Paul

That's a poorly designed head tube gusset. It does little to increase the size of the welded area between down tube and head tube.

It has the look of older Carrera about it, though I'm not sure that's what it is.

I think 'it does nothing...' would have been more to the point...

...the weld actually goes around the gusset as well? :?

I think tyre right chum. Looks like it was included because it was expected of them, rather than as a genuine attempt to stiffen the frame.

What with the design cues and the top drawer chain set it doesn't look like its even halfway exciting, but it does appear in tidy condition south make a good pub bike or low profile commuter hack.
