Frame weights .... Good weight for a steel MTB frame?

Nice. Bar the Spinergys. Can't stomach them.

Flash, but a bit flexy, specially when they twang if you glance the front tyre off a rock.
Back to the original 32 spoke Mavic Paris Dakars for me.

I have just gotten a 94 Lee cooper mtb frame made from Columbus SL tubing,
It's a 19" and the seller said weight was 2.3kg (just over 5lbs)
It's got a 1-1/8th dia head tube,filleted and lugged I think!

Thoughts as to weather that's an ok weight?

That is just over half a pound heavier than my 853 Dragon in 19".

Pretty light in my view.
